Proposal Submission
(late proposals? Hurry!)
The following topics are suggested:
- Metadata in theory and practice - whatever is of interest to participants
- A metadata framework for education, and
- Metadata and the Semantic Web.
Call for Proposals
We are keen to hear from people with interesting experience, tools, research,
or something else to share. Please consider one of the following forms for presentation
of your contribution:
- * a research paper
- 8 - 10 pages in the usual academic form
- * a short research report
- 3-5 pages that describe something you would like to report at the conference
or present as a poster

- * a tool/practice description
- 1 - 3 pages describing an application or practice that performs something of
interest. You will be offering to demonstrate your tool/practice
-
- * a 'sharing my problems' session
- 3 - 5 pages outlining a problem that you have in the work you are doing and for
which you would like a session at which you can consult your peers
- *exhibition
- 1-3 pages from those who would like to present their commercial offerings to
the community
- * panel session
- 1-3 pages proposing the members of a panel and the topic of their presentation
If you wish to focus your proposal for a particular audience, please indicate this.
The following are representative of the people we expect to be participants:
- * techies
- * exhibitors
- * educational folk
- * research folk
- * managers
Guidelines for proposals
All proposals should be submitted in HTML (XHTML) format. If you
have multiple files, please ZIP them together before submitting them.

Important dates for 2005
- Now - get your proposals ready and tell your colleagues about DC-ANZ
- May 2 - last day to submit proposals for sessions
- May 1 - registration online
- May 16 - all authors of accepted papers notified, if not earlier
- May 30 - June 1, 2005 - attend DC-ANZ
